We are very excited to welcome Marius to the Hands on Africa team!

Marius de Villiers is an ordained minister of the Baptist Union of South Africa. He comes from a marketing and business background but has felt called to Christian ministry in 2004. He graduated from the seminary 2009 with a B.Min. He also graduated in 2013 with an MBA at the University of Stellenbosch and completed his Masters in Practical Theology at the University of Pretoria in 2015. His research interest includes Practical Theology subjects, Leadership, Financial Counselling and Marginal Religious Movements. Marius has been teaching part-time at the Cape Town Baptist Seminary (CTBS) since 2010. He then joined CTBS fulltime in January 2014 as the Foundation Director and Lecturer.

Marius felt Gods call to missions and joined Hands on Africa in October 2015. HOA called him as Lecturer and Developer, but because of his background he will also assist the President with continual, holistically assessing the organization and propose appropriate strategies for long-term sustainability. In conjunction with the Board, assess the long term financial trends and review prospects for future growth and new ministry areas especialy in the USA and Africa.

Marius is married to Rehana which, is also passionate about God's word and is busy completeing her Masters in Practical Theology at CTBS. They have 5 children and have been married for 14 years.
